🏯 Kanazawa Castle Park

One of Kanazawa’s most iconic historical landmarks,
Kanazawa Castle Park is a vast historic site that once served as the residence of the powerful Maeda clan, rulers of the Kaga Domain.

After Maeda Toshiie entered the castle in 1583, the castle became the political and cultural center of the region for nearly 300 years.

Today, visitors can explore beautifully restored gates, turrets, and impressive stone walls, along with Important Cultural Properties such as Ishikawa-mon Gate and Sanjikken Nagaya Storehouse.

Kanazawa Castle is also known as a “museum of stone walls” because many different stonework techniques from various historical periods can still be seen throughout the park.

The park also offers peaceful gardens and open green spaces, where visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring, colorful leaves in autumn, and snowy scenery in winter.

Since Kenroku-en Garden is located right next to the castle, visiting both together is highly recommended.
It is one of the best places in Kanazawa to experience Japanese history, architecture, and seasonal beauty.

金沢城公園（Kanazawa Castle Park）

金沢を代表する歴史スポットのひとつ。
金沢城公園は、加賀百万石を治めた前田家の居城跡として整備された広大な歴史公園です。

1583年、前田利家が金沢城に入城して以来、およそ300年にわたり加賀藩前田家の中心として栄えました。

現在の園内には、重要文化財である石川門や三十間長屋をはじめ、復元された櫓や門、美しい石垣などが残されており、日本の伝統的な城郭建築を間近で楽しむことができます。

特に金沢城は「石垣の博物館」とも呼ばれ、時代ごとに異なる石積み技術を見ることができるのが大きな魅力です。

また、玉泉院丸庭園や広々とした芝生エリアなど、自然豊かな空間も広がっており、春の桜、秋の紅葉、冬の雪景色など、四季折々の美しさを楽しめます。

兼六園とは隣接しているため、あわせて散策するのがおすすめです。
歴史・建築・自然を一度に楽しめる、金沢観光では外せないスポットです。
