🏮 Higashi Chaya District

One of the most beautiful and iconic areas in Kanazawa,
Higashi Chaya District is a historic geisha district where you can experience the atmosphere of old Japan.

Established in 1820, this area still preserves its original streetscape and is designated as an Important Preservation District for Traditional Buildings.

As you walk along the stone-paved streets lined with traditional wooden teahouses, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped back in time to the Edo period.

Today, many of these historic buildings have been transformed into charming cafés, sweet shops, and craft stores.
You can enjoy matcha, Japanese sweets, and explore local specialties such as gold leaf products and traditional crafts.

In the evening, the soft lights create a magical and nostalgic atmosphere, making it a perfect place for photography and a relaxing stroll.

🏮 ひがし茶屋街（Higashi Chaya District）

金沢観光で外せない、最も美しい歴史地区のひとつ。
ひがし茶屋街は、江戸時代の面影を色濃く残す伝統的な茶屋街で、石畳の道と木造の町家が並ぶ風情あるエリアです。

1820年に加賀藩によって整備されたこの街は、現在も国の重要伝統的建造物群保存地区に指定されており、当時の町並みが大切に守られています。

格子戸の美しい建物が続く通りを歩くだけで、まるで江戸時代にタイムスリップしたかのような感覚を味わえます。

現在は、町家を活かしたカフェや和菓子店、金箔や工芸品のお店が並び、
抹茶や和スイーツを楽しんだり、お土産探しをしたりと、ゆったりとした時間を過ごせるのも魅力です。

夕方になると街に灯りがともり、昼とはまた違った幻想的な雰囲気に包まれます。
