🦁 Kanazawa Lion Dance Festival 2026 – Kaga Shishi
Kaga Shishi is a traditional lion dance passed down through generations in Kanazawa and the surrounding region. It features large lion heads and energetic performances, and is an important part of local festivals and cultural traditions (designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Kanazawa City).
Several local preservation groups will perform traditional lion dances in front of the famous Tsuzumi-mon Gate at Kanazawa Station – a wonderful opportunity to experience Kanazawa’s local culture.
There is also a Kaga Shishi hands-on corner, where visitors can try the staff dance (bō-furi), holding the lion head, and playing the festival drums.

🦁 金沢獅子共演会（加賀獅子）
加賀獅子は、石川県金沢市を中心に受け継がれてきた伝統的な獅子舞です。大きな獅子頭や迫力ある演舞が特徴で、地域の祭りや伝統行事で親しまれています（金沢市指定無形民俗文化財）。
当日は、金沢駅もてなしドーム鼓門前で、複数の保存会による獅子舞が披露されます。金沢の伝統文化を体験できる機会として、ゲストへの観光案内などにぜひご活用ください。
会場には、棒振り・頭持ち・太鼓（お囃子）を実際に体験できる「加賀獅子体験コーナー」もあります。
